In the SUNflower project  Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands (the SUN countries), that have safety records that are among the best in the world, have been searching for ways to further improve their road safety in order to reduce the burden of road traffic casualties in their countries. In this project a better insight into the relationship between the developments of road risks and road safety policies, programmes, and measures in these countries have been obtained.
