The SUNflower project was one of the first attempts of a holistic nature in describing and explaining road safety trends and implemented policies. Furthermore, it is an attempt of meaningful benchmarking. The project brings together researchers and policymakers. The SUNflower+6 project extends the analysis to six other countries with a wide range of safety records and shall result in a more robust basis for the type of analysis.
