OMEGAconsult, Ltd., was established in 1989. The firm has twenty permanent employees in the fields of civil engineering, economy, statistics, computer science, physics, chemistry and sociology. Two of them have PhD. degree, two have MSc. degree and twelve have university diplomas. Occasionally, experts from the fields of law, computer science, architecture and ecology are employed, according to the needs. The main activities of the firm can be grouped in the following fields. One field of activities are traffic and feasibility studies on construction, reconstruction or renewal of roads. Next field are research studies of traffic safety, public transport, toll system, environment, town-planning and transport technology. Another field is implementation of investment programs, projects and other technical documentation. They also deal with communication – database connectivity through internet, GPS technology and software application development.
The important clients and partners were several Slovenian Ministries: Transport, Communication, Environment & Spatial, Information Society, Health; and some public companies like Medical Centre Ljubljana and The National Motorway Company in the Republic of Slovenia (DARS). OMEGAconsult is member of several national and international associations. It is a founder-member of National Committee PIARC Slovenia, member of IZS - Slovenian Engineers Association; member of ZISPS - Slovenian Consultants Association. The firm is registered in the Slovenian Ministry of Science and Technology's register of research organisations. OMEGAconsult is also registered in DACON Consultancy Register and PHARE/TACIS Central Consultancy Register.
